| Report: | Two unforced errors into the tin at the end of the first game by Broadland No.1 Kye McCourt-Hall against fellow Norfolk County junior Jack Pritchard, tended to set the scene for the match, and indeed the whole fixture. Despite some great rallies and some nice shots, Jack's great retrieval combined with a higher unforced error rate from Kye gave Jack the edge throughout and a 3-0 win. Gary Powley didn't have a good day and was never really in the match losing 3-0 to Cameron Smith. So with only 2 matches completed the visorors had virtually clinched the match. Shaun Cramer lost the first game to Richard Self to confirn this before recovering for Broadlands only win of the night, 3-1. Meanwhile Andy Clabon, playing his first match of the season, met up with old sparring partned Dale Foreman for the closest match of the night. Dale winning this 'reunion' 14-12 in the fifth after saving a match ball at 11-12. It coundn't have been much closer.
Harleston deserved winners on the night. |
