Report: | After a week on the piste Gair was quick out of the stalls, peaking early and fading thereafter., as Fernandez found his length and width. Sutton junior raced through the first, but was pegged back in the two closely fought games that followed. His second wind saw him secure the fourth, however this turned out to be a brief squall, with Dyke storming through in the decider. Sutton senior went two down after Edmonds dominated early exchanges. To the surprise of the massed crowd, a rejuvenated Sutton proceeded to claw his way back in to the match, finally winning a 5 setter for the first time in decades (probably)!
Sandwiches and chips at The Bell were well earned by all. |
