| Report: | A tough start to the season for a young Broadland team, against a strong Nomands side. Rob and David had good rallies, but with Rob failing to capitalise when he had his chances the scoreline was not close. Sam also had a tough match against Ian at 2nd string. Sam was also unable to stamp his authority on the match, but late in the second game a string of errors from Ian's racket, meant that Sam pushed Ian close, but Ian re-focused and took the game 13-10. At 3rd string Paul Atterton played former Broadland player Steve Moxey, Steve making few errors and along with some great retrieval took this match with a convincing 3-0 scoreline. Hannah Jones came up against Norfolk team mate Katie Cox. Hannah had game balls in both the first and third games, but with good pressure from Katie, Hannah was unable to convert these. A close 3-0 win for Katie, a great match from both players. |
