| Report: | First match of the evening was Jordan against Graham. Jordan started off well and continued to play fairly consistently throughout the match to run out a 3-0 winner. Thanks to Rob Thirst for staying behind (after being bribed with Fanta) after his shift and marking the match (Tony I think there should be some overtime there somewhere!!!)
Kye played Ian in the second match of the evening. Kye played strongly in all 3 games but the final game of the match wound up at 12-12. Kye managed to find two solid points and run out a 14-12 winner.
Kirstie then played Paul for the third game of the evening. Unfortunately Kirstie was carrying an injury and was unable to play her best squash. Paul didn't make any mistakes and ran out a 3-0 winner.
The final match of the evening saw Gary play Marco. The first game saw Marco win 15-13 after getting the better of Gary in the longer rallies.
Marco again played strongly in the second game to take a 2-0 lead. Gary was trying a few too many boasts and Marco read them all.
Gary had a stronger start to the third game before a no let decision by the marker got everyone talking! Gary continued to play well and took the game.
The next game followed a similar pattern to the third. Again a decision by the marker played a far larger role than it needed to (we're not professional markers let's remember) and again Gary won the game.
The final game saw Gary complete his comeback to win 3-2. |
