Report

Report:It was a clash between the two unbeaten teams of Division 3!

First on court was Steve Robinson against Cameron Smith. It was Cameron's first away game tonight in team squash and he started off very strongly. He managed to hit a length very consistently and raced into a 2-0 lead. The third game was a much closer affair with Steve starting to play some nice squash. However, Cameron had too much to win out 3-0.

The second game of the evening was Kye McCourt-Hall against Dale Foreman. This was the closest contest of the evening. Kye played well in the first game to win 13-7 before an epic second game finished with Dale winning 19-17! Both players had chances after 12-12 to win the game but eventually Dale held his nerve to take the game to 1-1. The third game of the evening again went to 12-12 but it was Kye this time who played well to win 15-13. The fourth game was another close one but Kye again played strongly to win out 13-9 and 3-1!

The two Richards were next up on court. It was an unusual match in the way that it ebbed and flowed. Richard Hall for Broadlands started every game very well and had large leads before Richard Self for Loddon/Harleston gritted out the wins. The scoreline is a little harsh on Richard Hall who played well, but Loddon/Harleston's Richard won the match 3-0.

In the final game of the evening, Jordan played Mark. It was a game that Mark dominated from start to finish and the pressure he put on Jordan was too much. There were a couple of entertaining rallies, but too many errors ended up costing Jordan. Mark ran out a comfortable 3-0 winner.

Big thanks to Steve and Richard for making themselves available at such short notice, it was much appreciated! Well done Kye for being the only Broadlands winner of the evening!

Thanks to Tony for the hospitality after the match too.
