Ben Herrieven took the first game from Richard Fiske, and Richard Keeble took a commanding 2-0 lead against a struggling Jake Bond to put the Rebels in total control and on the verge of inflicting the first defeat upon the Broadland Team. Fiske fought tenaciously to pinch the second and then the third from 9-12 down, before Ben pinched the fourth and the match proceeded to 11 all in the fifth when Fiske clinched the last 2 points to win the match and level the scores at 2-2. Captain Bond received the news that his Team had not in fact lost the match, and from nowhere lit up in the third game taking 10 of the last 12 points to recover to 1-2 down, and again in the fourth taking the last 11 points in a row to level at 2 all, and for the very first time an unlikely Broadland win looked possible. Following another early run of 6 unanswered points captain Bond was never headed to maintain his Teams unbeaten record with another narrow 3-2 victory.
